I am interested in finding out a bit about Jewish culture and background. I do not want to study a book that focuses on the Holocaust or the foundation of the State of Israel. I’m more interested in a historical overview of Judaism from ancient background to contemporary times. What are some pleasant, introductory degree books about Jewish Background… any ideas? I am hunting for a more fun, leisurely read here, but a small scholarly evaluation would not hurt! Thanks
BTW… I’ve already study the Bible! I am not interested in attending Sunday School once more. What I’m searching for here is a historical monograph that utilizes the two primary and secondary sources. Thanks
